Yes, you read that right! To kickoff Musa Music Sundays we’re making this a Musa Music Weekend with a TV star on the Saturday and some great up and comers on the Sunday.
The big news is that we’re now going to be open on Sundays from, well, Sunday, but not only that, we’ll be providing some free entertainment as well!
We’re going to make the Sunday nights Musa Music nights and this week we’ve got two interesting acts playing that will make it well worth coming out in the cold to see (as if the beer wasn’t incentive enough!)
First up we have Foxhunting and you can hear the track Distanthere.
And then the main act is The Malpaso Gang, who play original material in the vein of classic country from the 40s/50s/60s, influences include George Jones, Hank Williams and The Miller Sisters. They say they throw in a few choice covers from time to time as well so get the thinking caps on…
The band is made up of Nina from Hashimoto Jones on vocals, Chris (Ex-Panda Eyes/Jo McCafferty Band) on drums, Dave (Mighty Scuba, Ex-Jo McCafferty Band) on bass and Henry on steel guitar
But before that we’ve got a great act playing on Saturday night with singer/songwriter Alex Cornish and we’ll bet you know his stuff even if you don’t know the name – his work has appeared on hit US TV shows Private Practice (which spun-off from the hit US medical show that wasn’t called ER or St Elsewhere) (or MASH) and The Big C. His site has lots of links to material you can hear and we think he’s going to be a great catch.
Again, Alex is free entry.
So if we aren’t charging you at the door you don’t have any excuse not to come down both nights!
