It’s Valentine’s Day! We hope you’re having a great day – no matter how you’re spending it! Hopefully not like the poor girls in this SNL sketch.
We’re fully booked tonight and it’s busy as ever. What’s the rest of Aberdeen been up to though?
Well, Aberdeen Uni students are apparently working on a pedal powered cinema – that certainly looks like a horrible Valentines Day date gone wrong. Wouldn’t be the first time someone’s been told to get on their bike.
On to the more relaxing subject of nature – Elizabeth Harley has been enthralling us with the pictures of wildlife along the Moray coast and letting us all know how to get involved. Nature isn’t all calming though, and having witnessed the floods in the South of England you’d be forgiven for thinking it wasn’t an issue so far up North from Somerset. Duncan Harley lets us know otherwise with his post on the flooding caused by the River Urie.
We love sharing recipes – our own and others. The recipes that had our mouths watering this week included Scottish Mum with her low fat mild chilli recipe and Victoria Sponge, Pease Pudding with her Double Chocolate and Raspberry Vanilla Cupcakes.
As we said earlier, it’s Valentine’s Day (but you no doubt know that) and whichever way you’ll be spending it, we’d love to give you a recipe to make your day a little better. Here’s one from the Musa archives thanks to that fine chap Iain Hepburn.
